Jenny Project Bag Sewing Pattern
$10.00
Description
The Jenny Project Bag PDF sewing pattern is an easily customizable, fully lined drawstring bag with a boxy base. It can be used to hold knitting or crochet projects or yarn but really can be used for anything! This pattern was designed as a patchwork bag using squares, but you can keep it simple with a solid fabric on the outside. There are instructions included to add optional pockets to the inside to store notions.
Difficulty
Advanced Beginner
Fabric
Woven mid-weight fabric such as quilting cotton, linen, or cotton canvas.
Heavier weight fabrics like 10-12 oz cotton canvas, corduroy or denim could also be used but it’s recommended that the cord casing fabric is a lighter weight so that it’s easier to draw up the bag closed.
Notions
- Coordinating thread
- 5mm braided cotton rope:
Medium Bag – 2 yds (1.8 m)
Large Bag – 2.5 yds (2.3 m) - Lightweight or midweight interfacing (optional)
For a patchwork version you will also need: - Rotary cutter
- Cutting mat
- Quilting ruler
Finished Dimensions
